How does outright betting work for Tennis? 

An outright bet is one of the most straightforward bets you can make in any sport, and that applies to tennis too. For each tennis competition, you’ll see the odds of winning the entire tournament for each of the players competing. 

Take Wimbledon for example. At BoyleSports for both the men’s and women’s tournaments, each player will have tennis outright odds. The favourite will have the shortest odds, followed by the second favourite and so on. 

Once you’ve chosen your outright bet, it’s just a case of watching the action to see if your player wins and your bet comes in. With tennis outright betting, you can bet before the tournament starts and while it progresses right up until the final. So, for the Wimbledon men’s final, outright betting will be available on the two players slugging it out to be crowned champion. 

How do I place an outright bet?

Outright odds are often slightly longer than match betting for example. This is because there are so many variables that can happen, and predicting the winner of the tournament is a complex process. Even the favourite can have a wobble in the early rounds and get knocked out.
