Group B of Euro 2012 is home to the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Portugal.
Netherlands
The Netherlands impressed during qualification for Euro 2012 with just one loss in a group that contained Sweden and Hungary. Despite producing some of the most talented players the world has ever seen, the Netherlands have only won the European Championships once, in 1988. They have reached the semi-finals on three other separate occasions including in Euro 2004.
Denmark
The only time Euro 1992 champions, Denmark, have progressed from the group stages since that victory was at Euro 2004 when they reached the quarter finals. Their victory in 1992 was hosted in neighboring Sweden and the tournament was contested by 8 teams. Denmark topped a qualifying group which included Portugal and Norway on the road to Euro 2012.
Germany
The most successful nation in European Championship history, Germany have won the competition three times, in 1972, 1980 and 1996. They have also finished on the losing side of a final on three occasions including Euro 2008. The Germans topped their Euro 2012 qualifying group without dropping a single point, conceding just 7 goals.
Portugal
Portugal have never won a European Championship, their best performances coming in 1984 and 2000 when they reached the semi-final stage. They qualified for Euro 2012 after coming through a playoff with Bosnia & Herzegovina 6-2 on aggregate. They do however have one of the most potent weapons in world football in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo.
